Here is The Lobby Monitor's weekly roundup of stories.
This week The Lobby Monitor ran an exclusive Q&A on the greater sage-grouse, a bird that's about to become famous as it plays a big factor in the U.S. decision on Keystone XL. We also published a story from The Hill Times on a group of Ottawa lobbyists who are looking to give back with new pro bono advocacy organization. Again, we moved stories about new registrations, including international bread making company Grupo Bimbo's use of Fleishman on its merger deal for a Canadian company. The Lobby Monitor also covered February lobbying, focusing on the PM's meetings with stakeholders like the Canola Growers, and ran a Policy Map feature on the F-35s. This procurement file is a giant spider's web throughout the central agencies.
Look for more of our new, regular features, On Queen Street and Policy Map, in the coming weeks, and as parliamentary business returns next week, events are picking up. Check out our updated calendar to see what's happening.
