Prime Minister Stephen Harper (Calgary Southwest, Alta.) announced that a state funeral will be held for Jim Flaherty in honour of his years of dedicated service to the Canadian people. The funeral service will be held at 3 p.m. on April 16, at St. James' Cathedral, 65 Church St., (at King), Toronto. Flaherty's family appreciates all the expressions of support and condolences and asks that, in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the Abilities Centre.
