BioFuelNet—a federally funded Network of Centres of Excellence devoted to supporting the growth of Canada's biofuels industry—has organized one of the most important green energy events in the network's history: The Advanced Biofuels Symposium 2014, taking place in Ottawa from May 27 to May 29. With several partners on board, including the Canadian Renewable Fuels Association, Air Canada, McGill University, Enerkem and FPInnovations, BioFuelNet has created a high-energy, outside-the-box program to help shift the Canadian biofuels sector into high gear. Green Party leader Elizabeth May (Saanich-Gulf Islands, B.C.), known for her unflinching criticism of green-negative policies, will deliver the opening keynote address. The event will take place at the Ottawa Conference and Event Centre, 200 Coventry Rd. More information is available online. Call 514-508-2884 x 840.
