Here is The Lobby Monitor's weekly roundup of stories.
This week, there was big news out of the PMO. In our regular On Queen Street column, we reported that Joanne McNamara is leaving the PMO for Western University. There is also a new GR hire at the Canadian Cancer Society. We reported registration stories about Global Public Affairs' registration for Kinder Morgan on the Trans Mountain Pipeline, as well as Lobbying Commissioner Karen Shepherd's plans to send alerts to late filers. We ran a story on changes at Edelman, which hired Mulcair's former comms director. Don't forget to look at our weekly, sortable lists, published end-of-day every Friday, showing the week's new registrations and communications reports. And: watch next week for stories on interprovincial trade barriers plus some other big news for the GR industry.
Readers please note: Due to the Canada Day holiday, there will be no Morning Brief on Tuesday. Also note that House has risen for the summer and The Lobby Monitor Morning Brief has moved to a summer schedule. You will continue to receive comprehensive morning briefings, at about 9 a.m., every Tuesday and Thursday, providing you with summaries of fresh news and information about events in the days ahead. The summer schedule will continue until Parliament returns in September.
