Euromaidan Ottawa will be holding a vigil at the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands, to remember the victims of Malaysian Airlines Flight MH17, presumed to have been downed by Russian rockets on Thursday. The group will then proceed to the Russian embassy to protest the ongoing invasion of Ukraine’s sovereign territory and active destabilization of Ukrainian border regions with armed personnel and illegally-smuggled artillery such as that used to down Malaysian Airlines Flight MH17 by Kremlin-sponsored militias. The event will be held outside the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands, 350 Albert Street, Ottawa. Proceeding at 10:30 AM, on foot, to the Embassy of the Russian Federation at 285 Charlotte Street (to join a protest being organized by "Russian Speaking Ottawa for Peace"). Call 613-301-8802.
