The Assembly of First Nations holds its 33rd General Assembly and Election for Office of the National Chief.

Aga Khan Foundation Canada is hosting a public presentation by Dr. Fawad Akbari, public specialist with Aga Khan Foundation Afghanistan and Dr. Geoffrey Hodgetts of Queen’s University. The speakers will discuss the health situation in Northern Afghanistan, and highlight some of the initiatives being undertaken to create a brighter future for women and children. Seating is limited. 

Speaker Hans Noel, Georgetown University, will discuss “The Tea Party and Occupy Wall Street: The role of ideological movements the American two-party system.” Presented by the Centre for Study of the United States at the Munk Centre for International Studies.
