Sergiy Slipchenko is a editor at The Lobby Monitor. He joined The Lobby Monitor in May 2023 and has been reporting on the lobbying industry with a focus on data journalism. Prior to moving to Ottawa, Sergiy spent most of his life in Toronto where he worked on the North American desk for The Kyiv Independent–a Ukrainian newspaper focusing on politics, foreign affairs, and the war between Ukraine and Russia–that he co-created with colleagues. Hunter Cresswell | Deputy Editor

Hunter Cresswell, deputy editor, began working at The Lobby Monitor in July 2024. He brings to the role a strong community news background thanks to his previous work covering the Gatineau Hills as a senior reporter at The Low Down to Hull and Back News. Before moving to Quebec, he reported at the Eureka Times-Standard in Northern California. He studied journalism and French at Humboldt State University (now known as Cal Poly Humboldt) in California, where he wrote for and edited the university’s student newspaper and magazine. He is the father of three, and enjoys hip hop, reading, and the outdoors. His goal in journalism is to keep readers informed and engaged, while holding officials accountable.
