Here is The Lobby Monitor's weekly roundup of stories.
This week, we ran a story on former prime minister Joe Clark registering for the first time on infrastructure projects. We reported on second quarter U.S. lobbying reports, which showed TransCanada Corp. leading the pack once again on spending among Canadian companies lobbying Washington. We ran a Q&A with new Government Relations Institute of Canada president Andre Albinati, a consultant at Earnscliffe Strategy Group, about the professionalization of the industry, mentorship and the changing demographic of GR professionals. We also ran an On Queen Street column featuring changes at Fleishman-Hillard, new president of Consumer Health Products Canada Karen Proud and in-house GR job listings, among other changes in the GR industry.
As usual, check out our online, sortable lists of new registrations and communications reports, published end-of-day every Friday.
